"Rusyn" name

[edit]

I know this seems to be a touchy topic, but Novi Sad is only Нови Сад in Pannonian Rusyn (language code "rsk"). In Carpathian Rusyn (language code "rue"), Novi Sad would probably be Новый Сад (or in some varieties maybe Новий Сад). However, the language code used in the names section is "rue". I realize changing it to "rsk" just links it to "Ruthenian" which is even less helpful, so how about just rewriting that bit as "Pannonian Rusyn" and forgoing the template entirely? I actually recently initiated the discussion about it (also on the talk page Ruthenian language). The trouble is that Pannonian Rusyn is named as Ruthenian with the new language code and our article is about historical usage of the name. I do not know what would be the best option, but it does include more than one location throughout Vojvodina and some is Slavonia.--MirkoS18 (talk) 09:13, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
